What Project Confidence is

Project Confidence is all about the use of referral partners — matching a current client with someone who has already walked their exact path so they can connect with like-minded operators who are (or were) going through the same thing.

Definition: a referral partner is simply someone who came through the program, followed our principles and our playbook, and then built a genuinely remarkable business as a direct result of being partnered with us.

How to use it

Every time a client should be matched with one of our referral partners, submit a workflow in the Slack channel #project-confidence.

  1. Identify the client need or friction point (e.g. mindset, niche-specific challenge, scaling stage).
  2. Head to #project-confidence and submit the workflow.
  3. Fill in the context — client name, situation, and what they'd benefit from hearing.
  4. Wait for a matched referral partner before offering a name to the client.
  5. Once confirmed, send an intro email to the client and the referral partner (no Slack intro).

Positioning — important

Do not position Josh, Jared and Alex (or any referral partner) as part of the AIA team. They are clients who partnered with us and built remarkable businesses — always referenced as fellow clients / operators, never as staff or coaches.

Talk track

On a call with a client, the AM can say:

"You know what, [CLIENT NAME], I think it would be good for you to speak with one of our clients who has struggled with the same thing you did. I will reach out and see if he's open to speaking with you (he's quite busy managing his business), but I'll get back to you on that in a couple of hours."

Key beats: fellow client (not team), shared struggle, soft ask, manage expectations on availability, commit to a follow-up window.

Once matched, send an intro email to the client and the chosen referral partner (both on the thread)

Subject: Meet [REFERRAL PARTNER]

Hey [CLIENT NAME], Just spoke to [REFERRAL PARTNER] and he's happy to jump on a call with you to share insights! Let me introduce and connect you guys. His email is: [REFERRAL PARTNER EMAIL] and here's his booking link: [REFERRAL PARTNER CALENDLY LINK] I'm so excited for you to speak and connect! Best, [AM NAME]

Email both parties — do not send the intro in Slack. Only send once the referral partner has confirmed they're open to speaking.
